AC Milan could be set to launch a shock swoop for Liverpool striker Andy Carroll after the Italian giant's transfer consultant revealed their interest.
Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi's son Pier Silvio - president of Mediaset, the holding company that owns the San Siro club - admitted he is a huge fan of the England international and wants to see him wearing the black and red Rossoneri colours in the future.
The Three Lions powerhouse was a British record transfer signing when the Reds snapped him up from Newcastle for £35million in January 2011.
The 23-year-old has enjoyed mixed fortunes during his time at Anfield in which he struggled early on.
But he enjoyed an encouraging end to the season last term and won a place in Roy Hodgson's Euro 2012 squad.
